Draw Arc

Arcs can be drawn interactively with the cursor, or entered precisely by typing exact values.

There are two ways to construct an arc, chosen from the radio buttons on the form:

Through 3 Points — click the start point, click the end point, then move the cursor and click a third point that the arc passes through.

Center, Start and End — click the centre point, click the start point, then move and click to sweep out the end point. The end is kept on the radius set by the centre and start, so the arc holds a constant radius.

Entering Exact Values

Instead of clicking, you can type the Start Point, End Point, Radius and Height into the form and click Apply to create the arc from those values. The Height is the bulge of the arc away from the straight line between its ends.

Tip

Clicking a point on top of one you have already placed is ignored, so nothing is created until each point is in a distinct position.
