Vector Boundary
The Vector Boundary tool creates a single boundary vector around a selection — useful for building a machining boundary or a containing shape from a group of vectors.

Creating a Boundary
Hover over the vectors you want to enclose; a live preview of the boundary appears, with a distance field that follows the cursor. Type a distance and press Enter, or drag outward to set the distance interactively, to create the boundary. Use the Up and Down arrows to switch between the two boundary styles.
Options
- Offset Boundary — an outline offset from the vectors by the set distance.
- Offset Boundary - Rubber Band — a convex "rubber band" wrap stretched around the outside of the vectors.
- Distance — the offset distance of the boundary.
- Keep Original — leaves the source vectors in place instead of removing them.
- Select new — selects the newly created boundary once it is made.
Tip
Only positive offsets are used — a negative distance is treated as its positive value.
