Fillet Tool
Fillets reshape the corners where two vectors meet — either rounding them off, or cutting a small relief into an internal corner so a round cutting tool can reach right into it.
Watch tutorial: How to Create Fillets
Creating a Fillet
Choose a fillet type and set the Fillet Radius, then click the corner where two vectors meet to create the fillet.
Fillet Types
Normal
Rounds the corner off with an arc of the set radius.
Dog-Bone
Cuts a round relief into an internal corner so that a round cutter can clear the full corner. The relief is placed diagonally across the corner, giving the characteristic "dog-bone" shape.
T-Bone
Like the dog-bone, but the relief is cut out to one side of the corner rather than diagonally — useful where a diagonal notch would be visible, such as in joinery.
Tip
Dog-Bone and T-Bone fillets are used on internal corners that will be machined with a round cutter. Because a round tool cannot cut a perfectly sharp inside corner, the relief lets a mating part still fit tightly into the corner.
