Curve Fit Form
The Curve Fit tool re-fits vectors to smoother, cleaner geometry — replacing noisy or heavily-noded contours with circular arcs, bezier curves or straight lines within a tolerance you control.
Watch tutorial: How to Fit Curves to Vectors
Fitting Vectors
Choose a fitting type and a tolerance, then hover over a vector to preview the fitted result. Click the vector to apply the fit, or drag up and down to adjust the tolerance live before releasing. Use the Up and Down arrows to cycle the fitting type. You can also select several vectors and use Preview and OK to fit them all at once.
Options
Circular Arcs / Bezier Curves / Straight Lines
The type of geometry the vectors are fitted to.
Tolerance
The maximum distance the fitted result may deviate from the original vector. A larger tolerance gives a simpler, smoother fit.
Keep sharp corners
Preserves corners sharper than the Max. Angle instead of rounding them off.
Replace selected vectors / Keep original
Choose whether the fit replaces the original vectors or is created alongside them.
Show nodes
Draws node markers on the preview so you can see the result of the fit.
