Laser Cut Toolpath
The Laser Cut toolpath drives a laser along your vectors. It follows the vectors to cut or score them;

Tool and Power
Tool Selection
Power
The laser power, as a percentage, taken from the selected laser tool.
Move Speed
The speed the laser travels at while cutting.
No. Repeats
How many times the toolpath is repeated, for deeper cuts or darker engraving.
Cut Options
Cut Outside / Cut Inside / Cut On
Which side of the vector the laser follows.
Cut Depth
The depth to cut to. The number of passes is worked out automatically from the tool's step-down.
Allowance offset
A machining allowance left on outside or inside cuts.
Vectors to Machine
Vectors can be selected for machining in one of two ways:
-
Manually using the selection tool.
-
Automatically by choosing a layer from the dropdown menu
If you choose to use the automatic selection then all of the vectors on the chosen layer are machined at the point of toolpath calculation.
Note
The automatic selection works at the point of calculation. If you add or remove vectors from a layer you need to recalculate the toolpaths.
Warning
A cut depth that would need more than 10,000 passes for the selected tool is rejected — reduce the cut depth or choose a tool with a larger step-down.
